Wednesday: A trekking day

We woke up at 8.00 am. Afterwards we went down to the restaurant and we had  breakfast. We had milk and coffee, with toasts and marmalade. Then, we went up again for prepare the last things, and at 9.30 am we had to stay in the hall for start to walk. At 10.30 am, more or less, we started the trekking. We walked like 7km through the mountains and it was very hard. So, when it ended and we arrived to the village, we had a bath in the beach. The water was too cold, but it didn’t matter…

We had lunch in a type of pizzeria and afterwards we met in the train station. We visited 2 villages more.  The first one, which is the village that appears in the photo, is called Vernazza...we saw the beach and a little something more, we think some of us had a bath, but the others went shopping or to see the village…it was very beautiful.

The next village was Riomaggiore. As soon as we arrived, we went to the beach to have a bath…the water was ok, but there were jellyfishes too… Fortunately, none of us got stung…

The bus picked us up in other village, and it took us to home. During the journey we saw the film Karate kid… some of us were seeing the film, but others were sleeping, because the day had been very hard. So, as soon as we arrived home, we went to sleep.

Milan-Valencia. Day 3.

This was the first day we went to San Felice´s school. Some students had to wake up very early in the morning, but I was hosted very near to the school. I only had to walk for 2 minutes to arrive. I think I was very lucky, because I could wake up at 8:00. When I opened my eyes every morning, I had my breakfast on the table. I think Leonardo (my Italian partner) has a very good mother.

At half past eight, we all were at their school. We had a little tour. Its' a very good school, in my opinion. It´s big and its gardens are green an beautiful. Maybe (probably) it´s better than ours.
Later, we went to a very big room and some of our Italian partners, like mine, Leo, did a little introduction about Milan. They used photos and they put it on a big screen with the computer. After that, some people (like me) had lunch at the school. I really liked the school´s cafeteria.
So, later we went to Milan by bus. We met at the Duomo, but we didn't enter, because we were going to do it next Thursday.

The Duomo, the cathedral of Milan.
Then, we had free time to eat something. Some of us  ate Panzzerotti (the best take away food ever, really) in a small shop near to the Duomo. The shop´s queue was all the street long.

Pablo eating his panzzerotti.

Then, we met at the Duomo again, and we did a “treasure hunt”. We had to answer some questions in groups, walking around Milan. This was my group: Leo (my partner), David Ribó, Ricardo (David´s partner)  Elena Baquedano and Ilaria (Elena´s partner). We walked around a cathedral and trough the “Piazza Fontana”. Finally, we return to the Duomo (again).
We were the second group that completed the questions, so David and me had time to go to buy an ice cream to and ice cream shop that Carmen (David´s mother and our English teacher too) recommended to us. I have to thank Carmen for doing that, because that was the best ice cream I have ever eaten .
After that, we returned to our homes. Leo, David (because he had to sleep with us) and I were very tired, so after having dinner, we went to sleep.

Sunday: family day

We woke up very early, maybe at 6.30 am, because we had to take the train to Como.
Como is a big village, which is situated near a lake, the lake Como. When we arrived there, the Italian family toke us to a funicular, which connects Como to Brunate, up to the viewer where we could enjoy the wonderful sights of the town and the lake.
But before we could see all this, we had to walk a lot...It was very hard. But we think it was worth to do it.
We ate in the top of the mountain and then, we went down. We walked around the village and something very funny happened...Monica was trying to take a photo near the lake, when she suddenly slipped and fell in the lake…Even though she had to wear her clothes wet all the day, it was very funny hahaha!
After that, we took a boat and we arrived to another village called Urio. We had a good time, we took a nap, and we sunbath. Then, we came back home.
At night we met again, but this time in Cernusco. There were fireworks and a show with dancers, jugglers, and more. We walked in the village and ate an ice-cream. Then, we went to sleep early, it had been a hard day and we were very tired.
